Manning sits out of practice, ‘I can assure you I didn’t go down without a fight’

Yes, we are talking about practice. Peyton Manning was on the field at Dove Valley Wednesday but he did not participate in any team or individual drills due to an ankle injury.

“I can assure you I didn’t go down without a fight,” Manning said. Head trainer Steve Antonopulos made the call to hold Manning for taking part in practice. “I’ll use the day to hopefully feel a little bit better and then tomorrow looking forward to being out there.”

Again, we’re not talking about a game, just practice.

John Fox doesn’t think it is anything to be too concerned about. Although he is very optimistic about being able to be fully active at practice Thursday Manning – who was sidelined during a practice for the first time in his Broncos career – won’t speculate if any nagging injury will carry over to Sunday.
